This Policy governs the conditions for cancellation, rescheduling, no-show, and refund of the services provided by Maka Studios (studio rental, sound stage, production, editing, and related services). It forms an integral part of our Terms and Conditions of Service and is framed within the Consumer Statute (Law 1480 of 2011).
1. Nature of the service
Maka Studios’ services are provided on specific dates and times reserved exclusively for each Client. When confirming a booking, we block that time, space, and equipment, preventing other clients from using it. For this reason, late cancellations cause harm that this Policy seeks to balance fairly for both parties.
2. Bookings, deposits, and payments
The confirmation of a booking may be subject to the payment of a deposit or the full amount, as informed at the time of booking. The deposit secures the availability of the Studio on the selected date and time.
3. Cancellations by the Client
Cancellation requests must be communicated through the official channels (WhatsApp +57 320 812 0233 or email audiovisual@makastudios.co). Refund conditions depend on how far in advance the cancellation is notified:

Note: the percentages and time windows above are Maka Studios’ standard policy and may be adjusted according to the type of package or service; the applicable conditions will be communicated to the Client at the time of booking.
4. Rescheduling
The Client may request the rescheduling of their Session, subject to availability, notifying us as far in advance as possible. One (1) rescheduling is allowed at no cost when requested more than 48 hours in advance. Additional or late rescheduling may be subject to special conditions.
5. No-show (failure to attend without notice)
If the Client does not show up for their Session and gives no prior notice, it will be considered a no-show and the full amount of the reserved Session will be charged, with no right to a refund or rescheduling.
6. Client delays
The Client’s delay time will be deducted from the total reserved time. The Session will end at the originally agreed time, without this implying any reduction in the service fee or any right to a refund or compensation for the unused time.
7. Cancellation or breach by Maka Studios
If Maka Studios must cancel a confirmed Session for reasons attributable to us (for example, an unfixable technical failure or unavailability of the space), the Client may choose between: (i) rescheduling at no cost, or (ii) a 100% refund of the amount paid. If a technical failure affects only part of the Session, the affected time will be rescheduled or the proportional unused portion will be refunded.
8. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Article 47 of Law 1480 of 2011, the right of withdrawal applies to sales made through non-traditional or distance methods, within five (5) business days following the conclusion of the contract. However, the same rule exempts from the right of withdrawal, among others, services whose provision has begun with the consumer’s agreement and those tied to a specific date. Consequently, when the booking corresponds to a Session scheduled for a specific date and time, or whose provision has already begun, the right of withdrawal will not apply. Outside of these cases, the Client may exercise withdrawal by writing to audiovisual@makastudios.co, and the refund will be made within thirty (30) calendar days thereafter.
9. Payment reversal
When payment is made by credit card, debit card, or through electronic payment instruments and any of the circumstances set out in Article 51 of Law 1480 of 2011 arise (including fraud or an unsolicited transaction), the Client may request a payment reversal from their issuing entity, following the procedure provided by law.
10. Editing and post-production services
Editing, post-production, or other customized work that has already begun is not eligible for a refund with respect to the portion performed, given its bespoke nature. If the Client cancels a service of this kind while in progress, the percentage of work actually completed will be invoiced.
11. Service quality guarantee
Maka Studios is responsible for the quality and suitability of its services under the terms of the Consumer Statute. If you believe that a service did not meet what was offered, you may submit your claim through our official channels to seek a solution (rescheduling, correction, or refund, as applicable).
12. Refund method and timeframe
Approved refunds will be made through the same payment method used by the Client, unless otherwise agreed. The timeframe will depend on the payment method and the processing times of the corresponding financial entity or gateway; Maka Studios will process the refund within a reasonable term once the request is approved.
